Hatch – Graydon Gallery
Hatch was the first exhibition of the Brisbane Artsworkers Collective. Members of the collective are all arts workers who had put their personal artwork on hold to concentrate on their curating and organising work. This exhibition sought to re-invigorate their creative arts practice. Hatch, symbolic of the group’s ‘birth’ and as individuals re-birth, as well explores themes surrounding growth, renewal and replenishment. Media included oil and acrylic painting, photography, soundscapes, mixed media, sculpture, installation and textiles.
